Trail Running - Swinley Forest Berkshire
Based in the beautiful Swinley Forest, Berkshire, we pride ourselves as being a friendly, relaxed and fun running club, without being overly structured or competitive. The emphasis is always to enjoy the fun and freedom of running the forest trails rather than how fast we can run.
Sunday mornings 09:30, choose from an intermediate 5K, or a more advanced 10K. Both runs are circular routes meeting back at the lookout for a post run coffee.
Friday evening 18:00, this is normally a 5-8 km intermediate circular run, in the summer months we enjoy dusky evenings, whilst during the winter months (Oct-Mar) these become night runs, head torches will be required.
Every run is unique, and will follow a different route each week as selected by the run leader on the day. We always pace according to the groups capabilities, usually about 6-7m/km, and as some of the trails include a few hills we make the occasional stop to catch a breath and regroup. We also ask that faster runners loop back occasionally to ensure no-one is ever left behind. All our run leaders are trained by England Athletics as leaders in running fitness (LiRF). COVID-19 Update - (05 Nov 2020) - All runs currently suspended until 05 December 2020
Maximum group size of 12 which must include 1 Run Leader.
Runners to be TWO metres apart at all times.
ONLY attend the run if you are 100% free of symptoms.
Respect the two metre rule for walkers and cyclists in the forest.
You MUST register for every run, essential for contact tracing.

Run Leaders are required to follow our COVID-19 Action Plan.

BOOKING: All our runs are administered via Run Together, a part of England Athletics thereby ensuring a safe and professional administration of our runs and runners. It is vital that you book every run via the "Book a Run" link above, or via the app which can be downloaded below.
In doing so you certify yourself fit and healthy to take part physical activity, and that you understand that you run at your own risk. You will also be asked to record your contact numbers and disclose any significant medical conditions for your safety.
