Trail Running - Swinley Forest Berkshire

Based in the beautiful Swinley Forest, Berkshire, we pride ourselves as being a friendly, relaxed and fun running club, without being overly structured or competitive. The emphasis is always to enjoy the fun and freedom of running the forest trails rather than how fast we can run. ​ 

We run Friday evenings at 18:00 and Sunday mornings at 0930, over a totally unique route every week.  We always pace according to the groups capabilities, usually about 6-7mins/km, however, faster runners are free to run ahead as long a they loop back to re-join the main group as necessary.

 

Every run is led by a qualified run leader, trained by England Athletics as a Leader in Running Fitness (LiRF), they will lead you through the forest navigating the tracks and trails over the occasional undulating terrain. To ensure everyone's wellbeing we make the occasional stop along the way to catch a breath, rehydrate and regroup.

  RUNNING CALENDAR: 

  • Friday Evening -  Every Friday evening (6pm) 5-8Km run through Swinley Forest. Head torch required from October.

  • Sunday Morning - Every Sunday we run two groups at two distances, with variations on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month...
     >   1st & 3rd Sunday of the month (09:30): 5Km intermediate and 10Km advanced run through Swinley Forest.

     >   2nd Sunday of the month (09:30): 8Km intermediate and 15Km advanced run through Swinley Forest.
     >   4th Sunday of the month (09:30): 8Km through Swinley Forest, and 10Km at an alternate location*.

LOCATION: The runs take place in Swinley Forest, however due to parking issues we now meet at Great Hollands recreation ground car park, South Road, just off Nine Mile Ride, RG40 3EE  Check our next run here...

Run Together
England Athletics

BOOKING: All our runs are administered via Run Together, a part of England Athletics thereby ensuring a safe and professional administration of our runs and runners. It is vital that you book every run via the "Book a Run" link above, or via the app which can be downloaded below. 
 

In doing so you certify yourself fit and healthy to take part physical activity, and that you understand that you run at your own risk. You will also be asked to record your contact numbers and disclose any significant medical conditions for your safety.
