Great turnout from the Berkshire Trail Runners last night, 20 finishers out of 45 runners! and the Giggling Squid did us proud great organisation, personal bills and even name cards - very impressed.
Naturally good hydration was high on the agenda courtesy of Chang and Singha, prior to consumption of some excellent protein and carbohydrates, including salt and pepper squid, spring rolls, jungle curry, green curry and coconut rice. A little fun was added with a Christmas cracker raffle, with Patrick L taking first place with a bottle of fizz, second and third place was given to Louise and Dean winning chocolates and a cocktail calendar, whilst the inevitable walking the after eight mint down the face without using hands offered the vital touch of seasonal silliness.
Naturally we had two distances, with the second finishing just down the road in the Raglan Pub!
It was truly a wonderful evening amongst some lovely people, time to burn off those calories tomorrow on the trails.
